Understanding User Roles & Permissions

This article explains the different user roles within CustoMED and how permissions affect what actions each user can perform. Understanding roles helps prevent confusion when certain actions such as approvals or exports are restricted.

Updated yesterday

CustoMED uses role-based access control to ensure safety, clarity, and regulatory compliance.

Common User Roles

  • Clinician / Organization User
Manages and approves their own cases

  • Organization Admin
Manages users and all cases within an organization

  • Organization Supervisor
Oversight role without approval or export permissions

  • Back Office (CustoMED)
    Supports planning, segmentation, and operations

Why Roles Matter

Some actions such as approving a case or exporting files are restricted to specific roles.
If you cannot perform an action, it is likely due to your assigned role.

All actions are logged for traceability and audit purposes.
