Core Behavior & Controls

Default implants, moving implants, swapping templates, hierarchy behavior, and gizmo constraints.

Updated this week

Default implant was chosen automatically โ€” is it recommended?

No.

The system may select and place a default implant to improve usability and speed.
This is not a clinical recommendation.

Final implant choice and placement are always the userโ€™s responsibility.

How do I change implant placement?

  1. Click the implant in 3D

  2. Use the gizmo to translate or rotate

Constraints may apply:

  • Movement may be limited to certain directions

  • Rotation may be constrained

  • Behavior can vary by indication and element type

How do I swap an implant/template?

  • Select the implant

  • Use the side menu to swap to a different template (if available)

Menu hierarchy: implant โ†’ parts โ†’ screws

CustoMED menus are grouped.

You can:

  • Hide/show the entire implant group

  • Hide/show individual parts and screws

  • Swap some parts individually in supported indications
