Hardware Library & SKUs

How the Hardware Library shapes your cases, and how admins set the SKUs on output labels.

The Hardware Library holds the implants, templates and PSI types your organization can use in its cases. This article explains how it is set up and how Organization Admins manage the SKUs printed on output labels. See Implant Templates & PSI Design.

Who manages the Hardware Library

The CustoMED team sets up and maintains the Hardware Library for your organization. It is not shown in your side navigation. To add, change or remove an option, contact CustoMED.

The library includes:

  • Manufacturers: the implant makers.

  • Catalogs: the sets of templates, parts and PSI types assigned to your organization.

  • Template parts and Template groups: individual implant components and sets of components.

  • Templates: complete implant systems built from parts and groups.

  • PSI types: the patient-specific guide options for each procedure.

How it affects your cases

When you create and plan a case, the manufacturers, templates and PSI types you can pick are limited to what is set up for your organization and the procedure. If a template or PSI option you expect is missing, contact CustoMED to check your organization's setup.

Manage SKUs

Organization Admins and Organization Back Office users can set the SKUs (your product codes) that CustoMED prints on output labels.

  1. Click SKUs in the side navigation.

  2. Find the procedure in the list. The SKUs configured column shows how many are set.

  3. Click the procedure to open it.

  4. For each procedure group, enter the Anatomy SKU, the Surgery Plan SKU and an SKU for each PSI type.

  5. Click Save.

Each SKU can have up to 40 characters. Leave a field empty if you do not use an SKU for it.
