This article explains which files you can download from a CustoMED case, where to find them, and how plan reports work. It is for surgeons, planning staff and lab or printing staff.
Output packs
Case outputs are grouped into output packs. Each pack combines one plan version for each anatomy in the case, the guide files if the case has a PSI, and one Plan Report. Packs are numbered (Output Pack 1, Output Pack 2 and so on).
You create packs on the Approve step with Create New Output Pack. To export a different combination of plan versions, create a new pack. Approved packs stay locked with their plan reports.
Download from the case panel
On the home page, click the case to open the case panel.
Open the Files tab.
Find the pack under Approved Packs or Open Packs and expand it.
Click the download icon on the row you need.
Row | What you get |
Download pack | One ZIP with everything in the pack: landmarks, documents such as the Plan Report and Delivery Note, the print files (anatomy and PSI), and the implant templates and parts. |
Plan Report | The pack's plan report as a PDF. |
Delivery Note | The delivery note as a PDF. |
Files to Print | Only the STL files to print, in an Anatomy and a PSI folder for each anatomy. |
Logistics Files | The production documents (DHR, Plan Report, Delivery Note and labels). Available after they are created on the Logistics page. |
Medical Imaging | The case imaging as a ZIP of DICOM files. Listed under General Case Files once the case is approved. |
Some rows only appear for some procedures. For example, Plan Only cases have no PSI files.
Preview on the Approve step
On the Approve step, expand Files in a pack to see its Delivery Note and Plan Report (SFU). Click Preview PDF to check the Delivery Note before you approve. The Plan Report is usually created when you approve the case, so its Preview PDF stays greyed out until then. To save the files, use the Files tab.
File formats
3D models (anatomy, guides, templates): STL
Plan Report, Delivery Note and other documents: PDF
Medical imaging: ZIP of DICOM files
Lower Extremity Analysis landmarks: text file
File names start with the case identifier (or case number) and end with the pack number, for example OP-1.
Plan reports
Plan reports are available for Cranioplasty, Reverse Shoulder Arthroplasty, humerus, knee and hip procedures. Each pack has its own Plan Report, which is updated when you approve the case. You can preview it on the Approve step and download it from the Files tab. If a report needs to be regenerated or replaced, the Organization Back Office or the CustoMED back-office team can do it.
