Measurements – Understanding, Editing & Limitations

How to interpret measurements, view how they’re calculated, edit measurements, and why values may “snap.”

Updated this week

I don’t understand a measurement

Click the measurement label.

When selected:

  • The measurement highlights

  • A 3D visualization shows exactly how it’s calculated

  • Some measurements show a description

If no description appears:

  • That’s okay; not all measurements have descriptions yet

  • Use the 3D highlight/visualization as the source of truth

Can I edit a measurement?

Some measurements are editable.

If editable:

  • Click the label

  • Edit by typing a value or using step controls (plus/minus, arrows)

I typed a value but it changed slightly

This can happen due to constraints.

You may receive a value close to what you entered, but not always identical.
This is expected.

Why didn’t my measurement change save?

Measurement changes are saved only after you click Confirm for that step.
