This article helps you read measurements, see how they are calculated, edit them, and add your own. It also explains why an edited value may come out slightly different from what you typed.
Understanding a measurement
Measurements are listed in the side panel under Pre-Op Measurements or Post-Op Measurements. Use the Pre-Op / Post-Op switch to change between them.
Click a measurement to select it:
The measurement is highlighted in the 3D view, showing exactly how it is calculated.
Some measurements also show a short description.
If no description appears, that's okay: not all measurements have one yet. The 3D visualization is always the source of truth.
Important: Measurements are used for visual verification only and do not replace clinical judgment.
Editing a measurement
Some measurements can be edited: they have arrow buttons next to the value. You can edit them only in Post-Op, and only if you have edit access to the case. To edit:
Click the value box.
Type a number and press Enter, or use the arrow buttons next to the value. You can also press the Up and Down arrow keys (Left and Right for side-by-side values).
I typed a value but it changed slightly
Entered values may be adjusted slightly because of anatomical, geometric or safety constraints. The final value will be close to what you entered, but not always identical. This is expected.
Adding your own measurements
On the Add Measurement row at the bottom of the measurements, click the button for the type you want:
Distance: two points.
Angle: three points, with the vertex in the middle.
Two-line angle: the angle between two lines (four points).
Click on the model to place each point. Points can snap to nearby landmarks and features.
Press Esc to cancel a measurement you are still placing. An unfinished measurement is discarded.
Managing your measurements
Rename: double-click the title, type, and press Enter (Esc cancels).
Describe: click Add description.
Edit or delete: use the edit and delete buttons on the measurement, or edit a single point.
Projection plane: for a two-line angle, choose Coronal, Axial or Sagittal.
Why didn't my measurement change save?
Measurements you add are saved a moment after each change, with no need to click Save. If saving fails, an icon shows Couldn't save changes, click to retry. Click it to try again.
Edits to built-in measurements are part of the plan. They are saved when you click Save or confirm the step. If you refresh or leave the page first, they are lost.

Note: Undo (Ctrl+Z or Cmd+Z) also reverses changes to the measurements you added.
