PSI Design Troubleshooting

What to check when PSI parameters, the PSI Design step or the PSI type selector are missing.

Use this article when PSI options are missing or you cannot change the patient-specific guide (PSI). It is for surgeons and planning staff who edit plans in CustoMED.

Can I change the PSI?

In most cases, yes. You can change the guide in the PSI Design step if you can edit the plan (Editor or Approver case role) and the case is not yet approved. For step-by-step instructions, see Implant Templates & PSI Design.

I can't see any PSI parameters

  • Switch to a single anatomy. Parameters are hidden in the combined view of all anatomies.

  • Check your case role. Viewers and Managers see the plan but cannot edit it.

  • Check whether the case is approved. Approved cases are locked.

There is no PSI Design step

  • The case is set to Plan Only. See Plan Only vs. Plan + PSI.

  • The procedure or anatomy has no guide. For example, Lower Extremity Analysis has no guide, and in hip cases only the femur has one.

The PSI Type selector is missing

It only shows when more than one PSI type is available for the case. If you see No PSI types available, or a type you expect is missing, contact CustoMED support.
