Welcome to CustoMED

This article explains what the platform is designed to do, and sets clear expectations about its role in the clinical workflow. It provides a high-level overview of the process so new users understand where CustoMED fits into their daily practice.

Updated yesterday

Welcome to CustoMED, a cloud-based platform designed to support the creation of patient-specific surgical solutions using medical imaging, 3D visualization, and digital planning workflows.

CustoMED helps clinicians and clinical teams:

  • Upload patient imaging data

  • Review anatomical segmentations

  • Collaborate on surgical planning

  • Generate files for patient-specific instruments (PSIs) and anatomical models

What CustoMED Does

CustoMED converts approved medical imaging and planning inputs into ready-for-production digital outputs, supporting both automated and expert-assisted workflows.

What CustoMED Does Not Do

  • CustoMED does not provide diagnoses

  • CustoMED does not make clinical decisions

  • Final clinical judgment and use remain entirely with the surgeon

Typical Workflow

  1. Select a procedure

  2. Create a case

  3. Upload imaging data

  4. Review and approve segmentation

  5. Review planning / PSI

  6. Download outputs

  7. Produce, validate, and sterilize (per your workflow)

Most cases are supported within 24 hours, depending on automation level and complexity.
